What a one-time cleanup covers

A one-time cleanup is a single visit where we walk the entire yard — grass, turf, gravel, decomposed granite, paver gaps, dog runs, side yards, and any landscaped area your dog uses — and clear every visible pile and chunk we find. We double-bag everything, haul it off your property, and dispose of it as residential waste per Maricopa County guidelines. The yard you walk into after we leave should look the way you'd want it to look if guests were arriving in an hour.

We don't disinfect, deodorize, or treat the yard during a standard one-time cleanup. If the turf or a kennel area needs an enzymatic sanitizing spray, that's an add-on we'll quote separately once we've seen the yard. Most yards don't need it.

When one-time cleanup is the right call

About a third of our one-time customers are the same situation: they were doing it themselves, life got busy for a stretch, and now the backyard has crossed the line from "I'll get to it" to "I can't get to it without losing a weekend." A one-time cleanup gets the yard back to baseline so you can either keep up yourself or roll into recurring service without paying for the catch-up time as part of your weekly visit.

The other common scenarios:

  • Before guests, parties, or family visits. A clean yard for a graduation party, a birthday, or holiday weekend when the in-laws are staying for four days.
  • Real estate listings & open houses. A yard with visible waste in the listing photos costs you offers. A one-time cleanup the day before the photographer arrives is the cheapest staging dollar you'll spend.
  • Move-outs and move-ins. Move-outs (a clean yard for the walk-through) and move-ins (a fresh start before you bring your dog over) are both classic one-time use cases.
  • After a long vacation. You boarded the dog for two weeks, came back, and someone else was supposed to be scooping. They weren't.
  • Before starting recurring service. If you're signing up for weekly or bi-weekly and the yard is well behind, a one-time first visit (which is free with new recurring service) keeps your standard weekly visits efficient.
  • Post-monsoon or post-haboob cleanup. When standing water and dust storms churn up a yard, a one-time reset clears out the mess that recurring service skipped during the bad weather. See our monsoon guide.

How pricing works (with real examples)

One-time cleanup is billed at $65 per 30-minute increment. We bill in 30-minute blocks rounded up, so if a visit takes 35 minutes, you pay for 60. We tell you the expected range before we start, and if a yard is turning out worse than we estimated, we text you before the meter ticks past the next 30-minute mark so you decide whether to keep going.

Rough guide based on what we see across our East Valley routes:

SituationTypical timeCost
Small/medium yard, one dog, ~2–4 weeks behind30 min$65
Standard yard, 1–2 dogs, ~1–2 months behind60 min$130
Bigger lot or 3+ dogs, ~2–3 months behind90 min$195
Half-acre+ property, multi-dog, 6+ months behind120+ min$260+
Acre property, multi-dog, neglectedquoted in advanceCustom
About 70% of our one-time visits in Gilbert, Eastmark, and Queen Creek land at either $65 or $130. The yards that genuinely need three hours are rare and we'll always flag them before the second hour starts.

One-time vs. recurring: what to pick

A common question we get is whether one-time or recurring is the better deal. The honest answer:

One-time is right when you have a one-off need. An event, a listing, a move, a catch-up. You pay $65–$195 and you're done. No subscription.

Recurring is right when you have a dog (or several) and a yard. Per pile cleaned, recurring is dramatically cheaper. A weekly visit at $18 with a single dog handles roughly 5–10 piles a week, which would otherwise sit and accumulate between one-time cleanups. With two or three dogs the per-pile cost drops further, since the extra time per dog is small but the extra mess isn't. See our full pricing breakdown.

If you're not sure, book the one-time. About a third of one-time customers convert to weekly or bi-weekly during the visit when the tech says "We can be back next Tuesday on the regular route." That's a fine way to find out.

How fast can we be there?

For the core East Valley service area — Gilbert, southeast Mesa and Eastmark, Queen Creek, Chandler, and parts of San Tan Valley — most one-time appointments are scheduled within 24–48 hours of booking. Same-day is possible if a route has openings (call us; the online form is slower than the phone).

Faster-fill windows to plan around: the days before major holidays, the start of monsoon season, and weeks when there's a community-wide cleanup event.

What you don't need to do

  • You don't need to be home. Side gate access or a smart-lock code is enough. We text on arrival and send a closed-gate photo when we leave.
  • You don't need to put the dog up. If your dog is friendly with strangers we'll work around them. If not, tell us at booking.
  • You don't need to scoop anything first. Seriously. We've seen everything.
  • You don't need to pre-pay. We charge after the visit based on actual time spent, with the final amount confirmed by text.

Frequently asked questions

How is one-time cleanup priced?

$65 per 30-minute increment. Pricing scales with how much time the yard takes, so a manageable yard doesn't subsidize a neglected one. Most East Valley one-time cleanups land at $65 or $130.

How fast can I get scheduled?

Usually 24–48 hours. Same-day is sometimes possible; call (480) 757-3133 if you need it fast.

What if the yard is worse than I thought?

We text you before the time clock ticks past the next 30-minute increment and let you decide. We never let a yard become a surprise bill.

Can a one-time roll into recurring service?

Yes. About a third of one-time customers convert. Recurring weekly starts at $18 and the first recurring visit is free.

Is one-time cheaper than recurring?

Per visit, no. Per pile cleaned, recurring is significantly cheaper. One-time is for one-off needs; recurring is for ongoing maintenance.

What do you do with the waste?

Double-bag it in our own bags and haul it off the property. If you prefer we drop it in your bin on trash morning, tell us at booking.
